In recent years Denmark has appeared at the top of the World Happiness Report. Thanks to this survey, we understand that some populations are happier than others, but how can we evaluate such a subjective experience? There are certainly specific parameters which allow to judge the situation in a country by taking into consideration all the related aspects, from politics to economy. There are also certain criteria that refer to the lifestyle. In the case of Denmark we can talk about “hygge” when we want to explain that happiness means long-term satisfaction rather than a temporary state of cheerfulness. During this experience you will discover the essence of Danish happiness and how it manifests itself in the daily life of the Danes through “hygge”. What does this word mean? And why does it seem it contains the elixir of long life? Simply because there is no unambiguous answer nor a translation that retains its essential meaning, we have created this guided tour, which is ideal for you who want to know more about the country from a socio-cultural point of view. We will talk about welfare policy, economic subsidies, education, Happiness Research Institute. By taking you to discover social behaviours and daily habits, you will be able to see firsthand what it is and then formulate your personal description of "hygge", certainly after having learned its exact pronunciation in Danish!

In addition, specific stops at the several sites of interest (museums, shops, showrooms, galleries, churches) - where expected - are subject to availability on the day and time of the visit.
