The distance between Copenhagen and Malmø is so short that it represents an incentive to spend some time on both sides of the Baltic Sea Strait, the Øresund. Sweden has not always been independent, as a matter of fact it was part of the Union of Kalmar for many years, under the control of Denmark-Norway. Discovering southern Swedish territory means visiting a historical region that has been under the control of Denmark for hundreds of years. It means knowing more deeply the common history of the Nordic countries and the cultural similarities/ differences that have been handed down for generations. A day spent in Malmø certainly offers you the chance to go back home with a more global view of Copenhagen itself given that these two cities are more and more united precisely because together they represent the Øresund metropolitan region. This union, realised after centuries of wars, was also possible thanks to the construction of the tunnel bridge that connects, with its approximately sixteen kilometers in length, two regions Sjælland (in Denmark) and Skåne (in Sweden). Our tour day will begin right by driving through this engineering work that takes your breath away for its being so gigantic. Imagining the construction process where the sea water did not find any obstacles until two decades ago is something truly impressive. You will be able to appreciate the wonderful natural landscape that divides the two countries by dreaming of being part of one of the most famous film productions, namely Broen (The Bridge). It is a nordic noir crime television series created and produced between Sweden and Denmark and written by the Swedish screenwriter Hans Rosenfeldt. Once we arrive in Malmø, we will walk through the picturesque streets of the center, the lawns of the gardens, the half-timbered houses areas and in the modern neighbourhoods. We will experience the modernity of the city from various points of view, but certainly we will not miss the perspective from the highest point of Northern Europe...

The technical itinerary may undergo changes in order to improve the guided experience. In addition, specific stops at the several sites of interest (museums, shops, showrooms, galleries, churches) - where expected - are subject to availability on the day and time of the visit. The chronological order of visits may be changed even at the last moment if circumstances require it, while maintaining the contents of the program unchanged.
