Our proposals

During our studies and investigations we found that there is much more than we could possibly imagine that has a reference to Italy behind Copenhagen’s palaces and sculptures. We all know that Italy has been the cradle of art over the centuries. Also Danish artists used to travel there to study the local heritage and they still do it. This is why several architecture projects and artworks in Copenhagen have a tight link to Italy. You will discover them during this guided tour. If you have recently traveled to Italy, you will probably recognise by yourself some similarities in Copenhagen. If you have not been in Italy yet, this tour will work for you as a preparation to your coming trip there. In any case, you will be shown the images of each correlated palace or work so to understand exactly the core of our comparisons. Either if you are in Copenhagen on a short stay or if you live here, this tour will make you look at the city through a different perspective. It deals with an ideal opportunity not only for those travellers who aim at exploring the city in a different way, but also for all the Italians who live in Copenhagen, but do not know it well and they would have never imagined to find so many references to their home country. Furthermore, if you have any international friends who will be visiting you or who live here, just think about give this guided tour as a gift to them, especially if they love Italy or they are learning Italian. This experience will be ideal for you to practice your language skills with an Italian native speaker guide given that there will be an open dialogue between the guide and the participants, therefore it will be possible to practice your language skills both in the production and comprehension. If you and/or your friends do not understand neither speak Italian, no worries, this tour can namely be given in different languages according to your preference. The possibilities are English, Danish and Spanish. Last but not least, we want to mention that the Italian community in Copenhagen is quite big, therefore, we can include in the tour the visit to some Italian shops or workshops if you feel that you want to explore Copenhagen this way.

The technical itinerary may undergo changes in order to improve the guided experience. In addition, specific stops at the several sites of interest (museums, shops, showrooms, galleries, churches) - where expected - are subject to availability on the day and time of the visit. The chronological order of visits may be changed even at the last moment if circumstances require it, while maintaining the contents of the program unchanged.
